Authorisation and HealthTürkiye Check

The authorisation and HealthTürkiye check verifies whether an institution's certificate scope and the services described across its digital assets agree with each other. The aim is not official verification but catching visible inconsistencies — such as a service promoted online that falls outside the certificate — before an engagement starts.

Under the regulation of 26 April 2025, healthcare institutions need a Ministry authorisation to provide international health tourism services, while facilitators are certified by USHAŞ. Any gap between certificate scope and the service list on the website creates both a compliance and a reputational exposure.

What the pre-check actually examines

The comparison uses two lists. The first is the service headings within the institution's certificate scope; the second is the service headings visible on the website, social channels and any facilitator pages. Placed side by side, three kinds of gap usually appear: services in scope but not described online, services described online but absent from scope, and naming differences.

The third category is the most common and the easiest to resolve: the same service appears under its formal name in the certificate and in marketing language on the site. On its own that is not a problem, but it needs aligning for search visibility and verifiability.

Additional headings for facilitators

On the facilitator side the certificate requires protocols with at least three healthcare institutions in Türkiye, along with coordinator and call-centre capacity. That produces a direct consequence in digital communication: the institutions named on the site must be consistent with the protocol structure.

The pre-check compares the institution and treatment list on the site against the protocol structure and flags inconsistencies. This is not a legal audit but a list of mismatches that have become visible on the communication side.

Items in the checklist

  • Service headings in certificate scope matched against service pages on the site
  • Institutional title, address and contact details consistent across all digital assets
  • Health-tourism unit contact details reachable in a foreign language
  • For facilitators, the protocol institution list against what the site describes
  • Certificate date and validity tracked internally and kept current

Why this is the first step of an engagement

As an agency we do not start promotional or informational work before authorisation status is clear. Two reasons: promoting an out-of-scope service exposes the institution directly, and an inconsistency surfacing later requires withdrawing published content, wasting the work.

When the check is complete the institution holds two lists: aligned service headings and points requiring correction. That becomes the reference ground for all subsequent content work.

01

Scope match

Certificate service headings compared item by item against the pages on the site.

02

Identity consistency

Title, address and contact details must be identical across every digital asset.

03

Reachable unit

The health-tourism unit's contact details must sit where a foreign patient can find them.

Working sequence

How we move, step by step

  1. 01
    Obtain the scope

Service headings within the certificate scope are requested from the institution in writing.

  2. 02
    Digital inventory

Service descriptions on the site, social channels and facilitator pages are listed.

  3. 03
    Comparison

The two lists are placed side by side; surplus, gaps and naming differences separated.

  4. 04
    Correction list

Each inconsistency gets a proposed correction and a responsible role.

  5. 05
    Alignment

Approved corrections move into the content plan and the reference ground is fixed.

Frequently asked questions

What institutions ask most about this

Can we start work before we hold an authorisation?

We do not begin work aimed at international health tourism promotion. At this stage only internal preparation, document order and the plan to apply after certification can be discussed.

Do you help us obtain the certificate?

No. Applications run through Ministry of Health and USHAŞ processes; that is a consultancy and regulatory specialism. The agency reviews only communication-side consistency.

Which documents do we need to share?

A written summary of the service headings within your certificate scope is enough. You do not need to share the certificate itself; scope information suffices for the comparison.

What happens if an inconsistency is found?

The correction list is delivered and no content is produced for the affected headings until they are aligned. Work can continue on other headings.

Should our HealthTürkiye record connect to our website?

Consistency between your publicly visible records and your site matters for both patient trust and entity clarity in search. We include that consistency in the checklist.

How often should this check be repeated?

Whenever certificate scope or the service list changes, and at least annually. It must always be repeated before a new treatment line goes live on the site.
